Privacy Policy
Last updated April 2026
LawnsPools ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Jolt IT LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers both the marketing site at lawnspools.com and the LawnsPools app at app.lawnspools.com.
If you only want to use the public marketing site, you'll land mostly in Section 2 (Visitors) and Section 6 (Cookies). If you're a LawnsPools customer, Sections 3 through 5 apply to you too.
1. Who's covered
This policy applies to:
- Visitors — anyone browsing lawnspools.com or app.lawnspools.com.
- Customers — businesses that sign up for a LawnsPools account.
- Customer users — teammates invited by a customer to use their LawnsPools account.
- End customers — the homeowners and property owners your business serves. Their data lives in your LawnsPools account. You control it; we process it on your behalf.
2. What we collect from visitors
- Standard server logs — IP address, user agent, referrer, pages visited.
- Analytics events from Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, loaded via Google Tag Manager. These help us understand traffic and UX.
- Advertising signals from Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags (when we're running ads) to measure ad effectiveness.
- First-party cookies:
lp_vid(random UUID, 1-year life) keeps A/B test assignments consistent.lp_utm(90-day life) remembers how you first arrived so we can attribute signups correctly. Neither contains personal info. - Demo-booking form submissions — name, email, phone, company — if you fill out the booking widget.
3. What we collect from customers
When you sign up for a LawnsPools account, we collect:
- Account details — your name, email, hashed password, business name, business type, phone number.
- Billing details — your payment card is handled entirely by Stripe. We only see the brand, last four digits, and billing email. Your full card number never touches our servers.
- Usage data — logins, feature usage, and the same analytics signals listed in Section 2.
- Attribution data — which ad or referral source brought you to signup, so we can measure what's working.
4. What you put into the app
LawnsPools is a tool for managing leads, customers, and service jobs. The data you enter into it — contact details for your end customers, job notes, messages, reviews, and so on — belongs to you. We hold it on your behalf and apply the same care we apply to our own business.
We do not sell or share your customer data with advertisers or analytics networks. We do not train AI models on it. Our staff accesses it only when you ask for support or when we're investigating abuse.
5. SMS, email, and phone calls
The LawnsPools app lets you send SMS and emails to your end customers through integrated providers (Twilio for SMS, a transactional email provider for email). When you send a message, we log the message content, timestamps, and delivery status. We use this data to show you the conversation thread and to bill usage.
Your responsibility under the TCPA and similar laws: you must have your end customers' consent before sending them SMS or marketing messages. LawnsPools provides the tool; compliance with TCPA, CASL, GDPR, and similar laws is on you.
